Cinderella Is A Success At The Royal and Derngate, Northampton
Four Shires Magazine
January 2009

Cinderella at the Royal and Derngate, Northampton is a delightful addition to the pantomime season.  The show stars pop icon Jimmy Osmond as Cinderella’s best friend, the loveable Buttons.

Jimmy is a lively addition to the cast, which includes West End star Danielle York in the title role of Cinderella and Peter Piper as her father, Baron Hardup.  Brian Godfrey and Darren Southworth were perfectly cast in their roles as the ugly sisters, the siblings we love to hate.  Whereas Emma Francis sprinkles the theatre with a little magic, as the fairy godmother.  Australian born Ryan Dawson plays the role of the handsome Prince Charming, with Andrew Stone as his faithful companion Dandini.

Cinderella has everything we’ve come to love about his festive theatre outing.  Music and comedy, coupled with just the right amount of audience participation.

Jimmy treats the audience to a medley of his best-known songs, proving that the old classics will always be a hit, as the audience was singing along and dancing in their seats!

If you haven’t already seen Cinderella at the Royal and Derngate, there is still time as the pantomime runs until the 11 January.
